AP Latin--Caesar's De Bello Gallico and Virgil's Aeneid

Syllabus

Weekly Routine
The weekly routine is based on an assigned reading from Caesar (first semester) and Virgil (second semester). See the calendar for the readings for each week.

Monday--Read tiers 1 and 2 of the week's reading.  Read and discuss Latine.
Homework: Read the original text 3 times, out loud.  See how much of WB you can do.

Tuesday--Read tier 3 of the week's reading.  Read and discuss Latine.
Homework: Read the original text three times, out loud; Continue WB.

Wednesday--Read the original text together and discuss.  Take special care to clarify new words that are confusing you.  Pay particular attention to the word order which is now the author's original.  
Homework: Read the original text three times, out loud.  About half of the WB should be done by now.

Thursday--Multi-purpose day.  Translation practice.  Essay practice.  Go over MC from WB.  Theme, culture, history discussions.
Homework: Read the original text at three times, out loud.  Finish WB for week.

Friday--Assessments of various kinds; spot checks of workbooks.  Your workbook should always be up to date by Friday.
